December 31st 2006 New Years Eve

Saw Jolyon DJ'ing with and hosting UK Super DJ's "The Free Masons".

Heres what they had to say about NYE in New Zealand (from their latest blog on Myspace):

Jet Lag finally on its way out so a HUGE thanks to NEW ZEALAND for New Years Eve

Current mood: Listening to the storms in Brighton

We had an amazing 2006 - another top 20 early in the year , geared up for "Rain Down Love" and played all over this crazy little planet inbetween all the recording and remixing for "Shakedown"

But two trips to the other side of the world really made our year - First was Australia in late 2006 which as we wrote perviously exceeded all our expectations.... and most recently our NYE gig on WAIHEKE ISLAND - Just off the coast Of Aukland New Zealand... the moment we got there, Jolyon wihisked us from the airport to a private sunseeker captained by his brother across the water to the island that would be our home for the next few days

Now we've had some great crowds in 2006 , but you Kiwis really know how to see the new year in , and I know that both us and Soul Central that played with us would just like to thank every single one of you for an amazing start to 2007 - we could have played and played and played...

A huge thanks to Adam B from Highlife for organising such a great event , Jolyon and Amy for being stars and looking after us so perfectly - and Jolyon for playing a great set ... Last but certainly not least - Auklands' IT girls: Amy, Marie, Ella , Kate and Emma for being so glamarous (and performing that hilarious 27 point turn outside the chalet)...

SO many more to thank out there ... Nicky and her dad for the next afternoon's chill session , Andy from Soul central for being part of the best/worse Pantomine buffalo I've ever seen (and with a brummie accent), steve at Stonyridge Vinyard for being a perfect host... the list goes on....A sepcial mention must go to the young lady and her friends that travelled from the Gold Coast of Oz specially to come and see us

Now we DID warn you about Michael, but not even we were expecting such a superlative perfomance.... we could'nt see him for 30 mins of the set then he came careering onto the stage mud all down one side with his arms in the air the proceeded to play the bongos with his partner-in-crime girlfriend Rosa... by all accounts he knew 70% of the crowd by the end of the night...

We high-tailed it back to Bali and finally home -now it's gale force back here in brighton - but we're still smiling thanks to you all

WE WILL BE BACK

NEXT STOP - MARDI GRAS

All the best

November 2006

Hello from Poland,

Thought it was about time I filled you all in on whats been happening on my tour of Dj'ing...

It's been a fun packed couple of months, but my tour of DJ'ing around the globe comes to a close for 2006. Thanks to everyone that made my stay around the globe so enjoyable.. My latest part of the tour took me back to Cyprus for a month to finish up the end of the party season in Aiya Napa in Cyprus's biggest club - The Castle club. DJ Steve Richards & I played back 2 back sets pretty much every night there & finished up the main house room to a packed out crowd which was the highlight of the season for me. With it being end of season management shuts down the main house room because it's the biggest room & they shifted us upstairs to party room. (Normally disco, hip hop & Pop house hits). We played there for about a week & half & then shut down that room too. We also played some great house sets on Aiya Napa's famous Nissi beach. Too many great nights were had in Cyprus & I met too many great people to mention. But a BIG thanks goes to my partner in crime Steve Richards, who I have gotten to know very well. (www.djstevrichards.com), Tasos (Owner of the Castle club) & James (DJ Blend - Hip hop dj @ CastleClub). Plus a few of the Cyprus locals who made it a fantastic & memorable journey for me. Hopefully one of Cyprus's best Dj talents- DJ Coxy will be in New Zealand in the next month or so, so if you see him on any flyers make sure you come check him out!

So now I find myself in Poland... By chance I wandered into a club and met some of the DJ's who happen to be music producers WAWA. They have hooked me up a gig tomorrow night at Warsaw's most exclusive club - Utopia. This club is the biggest Gay club in Poland, with one of the strictest door policies in this country. Apparently they have a great mixed crowd (Phew) & many of the top House producers & DJ's have played there from Bob Sinclar, Ian Carey, David Guetta, Wawa, Copyright & many more.. So this will make for an interesting night!

My website has just been updated with new movies from my last DJ tour - including footage from - London, Cyprus, Ibiza, Amsterdam & Dubai. It's in the movies section so check it out. (Thanks to the chad & Luke Tomes)

I'm also looking forward to returning to my residency at Spy bar so I have organised a return party - SATURDAY NOVEMBER 4TH @ SPY BAR (Thanks Adam B) - Email me back if you would like to placed on the guestlist.

Our new record label "LUXURY Records " will be launching it's first single in the next few months with some massive remixes from some of the best producers from overseas. So listen out for Sound Conducterz - "Hold ya head up" Feat. Merenia.

& lastly make sure you checkout Adam B's & my next massive event - November 18th - GLAMOUR @ Toto' Monte Cristo rooms (53 Nelson st). This will be my first massive party to play at in NZ & I have got loads of new promo's from my favourite producers, Soul Avengerz, Miki Moto, Bobby Blanco, ATFC, Solitaire, Stonebridge & Syke n' Sugarstarr. (BIG Thanks to all of you who sent me tunes!)

Also I have enclosed some recent pix from this tour, so enjoy & see you back in New Zealand.
