jolyon petch

2021 certainly had its ups & downs in the middle of a global pandemic but that hasn’t stopped the rise of multi platinum selling dance music artist Jolyon Petch.

The Kiwi Born, now Melbourne based producer/DJ completely dominated the Australian ARIA club charts in 2021 spending a mammoth 13 weeks at the #1 Spot with his singles “Holding on” (3 weeks), “Elektrik Disko – Tell me why” (3 weeks) and his massive Radio smash hit “Dreams” (7 Weeks). Jolyon’s cover version of the iconic Fleetwood Mac ‘Dreams’ certainly took on a life of its own with it taking out 2021’s #1 most played Australian song on radio beating the likes of international superstars Kid Laroi & Justin Bieber, earning him an Australian Platinum record and a Gold record in New Zealand. The single has also accumulated 20 million+ streams on Spotify, 3 Million on Apple Music and was #1 on Shazam Australian & NZ. ‘Dreams’ was nominated at the prestigious ARIA awards for best dance single plus Jolyon was also nominated as best NZ act at the 2021 MTV music awards.

Jolyon found the spotlight early in his career, successfully pairing his Record Label ‘Club Luxury’ with his DJ brand and touring the world from 2006-2010, performing in over 15 countries and over 20 different cities before finally settling in Australia to further his music career. He’s held multiple DJ residencies in the top venues on both the Gold Coast and in Melbourne and has performed all over Australia and New Zealand in the best nightclubs and events. He is the first & only New Zealand Dance Music producer to have produced over nine #1 singles on the Australian ARIA club charts and multiple top 5 positions on the UK Upfront Club charts as well.

His music has seen support from some of the biggest DJ’s in the world from the likes of Tiesto, Pete Tong, Danny Howard, Hardwell, Don Diablo, Diplo, Oliver Heldens, Bob Sinclar, Afrojack, EDX, MistaJam, Kolsch, Gorgon City, Lucas & Steve, Joe Stone, Stafford Brothers, Timmy Trumpet & many more.

2020 saw Jolyon team up with Belgium House Music legend Kid Créme for their single ‘How to love me’. The single went straight to #1 on the ARIA club charts and became Jolyon’s first single to crack #4 on the UK Upfront club charts too. With the world coming to a halt with Covid-19 in March, Jolyon set his sights on taking a seminal record and giving it his own distinct modern flavour and his 2020 version of the classic anthem ‘Show me Love’ featuring the original singer Robin S again shot straight to the #1 spot on the ARIA Club charts this time for 3 consecutive weeks and peaked at #5 on the UK Upfront charts.

Jolyon’s production work has also seen remixes for pop artists such as, Pet Shop Boys & Example, Snoop Dogg, Troye Sivan, Mel B (Spice Girls), Carmen Electra, Jessica Sutta (Pussycat Dolls), Conrad Sewell, Siedah Garrett & Starley, plus House music luminaires Robin Schulz, Junior Jack, Armand Van Helden x MECK, Tobtok, NERVO, Freemasons, Prince Fox, DAZZ, Calvo and many more.
